Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) declared the Indian contingent for the upcoming Australia tour. There were quite a few surprise entrants in Varun Chakravarthy, who got called up for T20Is, and Mohmmad Siraj was included in the Test squad. While Sanju Samson finally gets a call up over Rishab Pant, Rohit Sharma misses out in all formats due to injury scare.

Among them all, the most shocking exclusion seemed to that of Suryakumar Yadav. Yadav, who has 5326 first class runs to his name at an excellent average of 44.01, is yet to recieve a call up for the national side. Yadav has been consistent in List A cricket too with 2447 runs at an average of 35.46.

He has been performing every IPL and Ranji season

Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh is infuriated after he was yet again ignored by the selectors. Harbhajan lashed out on twitter and even went on to claim that selectors have different rules for different people.

“Don’t know what else @surya_14kumar needs to do get picked in the team india..he has been performing every ipl and Ranji season..different people different rules I guess @BCCI I request all the selectors to see his records.”

Yadav has been impactful this season in the IPL too. The Mumbai Indians number 3 has 283 runs to his name with an impressive average of 32.
