India Today Gaming to host BGMI LAN event
Fans who were ardently wishing for BGMI LAN event to be hosted in the country can heave a sigh of relief as India Today Gaming has announced that they are going to host offline tournaments for Battlegrounds Mobile India soon.
Battlegrounds Mobile started its journey in the country with BGMI Launch Party and several other tournaments such as India Ki After Party, Superboys vs Supergirls followed. As Krafton is delaying BGMI India Series 2021, the eSports organizations were quick to host third party tournaments with massive prize pools. Several fans were demanding BGMI LAN events and now India Today Gaming is all set to host their offline tournament.
India Today Gaming to host BGMI LAN event
India Today Gaming is the sub brand of India Today, one of the most popular weekly Indian English language magazine. Their eSports division mainly focused on conducting tournaments on Free Fire and PUBG Mobile. They have recently decided to host tournaments for Battlegrounds Mobile India. Currently, they are hosting the grand finals of BGMI Dangal tournament where 7SEA Esports is leading the score board.

At the second day of the Grand Finals, the anchors revealed that India Today Gaming is going to host BGMI LAN event across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata. The event will feature underdog teams from the country who will be competing against professional players such as Mortal, Scout, Jonathan and more. They have also revealed that Tiger Shroff, a prominent Bollywood actor will be invited as the chief guest of the BGMI LAN event.
Although the dates of the event has not been announced by the officials, players could expect the commencement of BGMI LAN event once Krafton wraps up BGMI India Series 2021 as BGIS 2021 is going to be the first major official competitive tournament of Battlegrounds Mobile India setting the foundation stone for BGMI Esports.
LAN events were previously hosted in PUBG Mobile where players are placed in the same room using the same network to play the tournament. These events were stopped in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic. Since the situation seems to be under control now, eSports organizations such as GodLike Esports are making several efforts to conduct LAN events. Moreover, BGMI LAN event will help to boost the eSports industry of the country and also contribute towards the popularity of Battlegrounds Mobile India.
