IPL 2020: CSK VS RCB, Anushka Sharma cheers for Virat Kohli after hitting unbeaten 90
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli has displayed his classic batting session at the Dubai International Stadium on Saturday. Kohli played a blistering knock of 90 to help his team put a competitive 169-run target from allotted 20 overs.
Virat Kohli’s wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma who was at the stadium, seen cheering for her husband after Kohli walked back to pavilion after the inning break. Twitter was flooded with pictures and videos of the actress who was blowing kisses at Virat Kohli.
Here is some Twitter reaction:
Recently, Anushka was dragged into a controversy after Sunil Gavaskar passed out a comment on the pair during his commentary job. Anushka didn’t sit quietly and wrote in an Instagram post that former India captain’s statements were ‘distasteful’.
She wrote, “That, Mr Gavaskar, your message is distasteful is a fact but I would love for you to explain why you thought of making such a sweeping statement on a wife accusing her of her husband’s game? I’m sure over the years you have respected the private lives of every cricketer while commentating on the game. Don’t you think you should have an equal amount of respect for me and us?”
Kohli with the bat was fire
Earlier, Kohli opted to bat after winning the toss and they failed to give a good start as Deepak Chahar dismissed Aaron Finch in the third over. Afterwards, skipper Kohli joined Devdutt Padikkal and the pair put on 53 runs for the second wicket.
Paddikal was removed by Shradul Thakur in the 11th over and soon took another wicket in the form of AB de Villiers. On the other hand, Kohli was moving the scoreboard putting balls (which was in his court) away to the boundary.
Kohli and Washington Sundar added 26 runs for the fourth wicket before the latter was dismissed by Sam Curran. However, the all-rounder Shivam Dube then joined the skipper and remained unbeaten on 22.
Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) crushed CSK by 37 runs in their seventh game of IPL 2020.
Anushka and Virat recently announced that they are expecting their first child in January. They wrote in a joint social media statement, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.”
