IPL 2020 DC vs SRH: Sunrisers bring up the first win of the tournament after defeating Delhi Capitals by 15 runs
Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) finally won their first game of IPL 2020 after defeating Delhi Capitals in their third game of the tournament.
Sharp bowling from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan helped Sunrisers Hyderabad defend a comparatively low score of 162 runs. Rashid Khan picked up 3 important wickets in the middle phase including Rishabh Pant‘s wicket and conceded just 14 runs in his four overs. Kumar picked the crucial wicket of Prithvi Shaw and Shimron Hetmyer.
Delhi Capitals batsman could not chase the SRH score after losing wickets in crucial intervals. Shikhar Dhawan remained the top-scorer for DC with 34 runs. Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer tried to build a patnership in the middle overs but lost thier wickets after a good start. No DC batsman could score a half-century in the game.
IPL points Table after 11 games
Sunrisers Hyderabad were the only team in IPL 2020 to win a game in the tournament. At present, all 8 franchises have won at least one game in the IPL 2020. The IPL 2020 points table is topped by Rajasthan Royals who have 4 points from two games and are yet to lose a game in the tournament. Chennai Super Kings are in the bottom of table with 2 points in 3 games.
SRH manage to pile up 162/4 in 20 overs
Earlier Sunrisers Hyderabad piled up 162 runs after being allowed to bat first by Delhi Capitals. Jonny Bairstow brought up his fourth fifty of his IPL career and his second one in IPL 2020. Bairstow and Warner started the innings cautiously and scored 77 runs for the first wicket. Warner lost his wicket to Amit Mishra and was dismissed for 45 runs.
Sunrisers Batsman Kane Williamson started for the first time in IPL 2020 and managed to take SRH’s score to 162. Williamson played an important knock of 41 from 26 deliveries.
Kagiso Rabada and Amit Mishra picked 2 wickets each and were economical to stop SRH from scoring big. Ishant Sharma started for DC after coming back from injury but remained wicketless in 3 overs for 26 runs.
