IPL 2020: Devdutt Padikkal shares throwback picture with Virat Kohli
Following Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League 2020, half-centurion Devdutt Padikkal shared a throwback picture with RCB skipper Virat Kohli with whom he stitched together a 99-run partnership.
Chasing a modest total of 155 following Yuzvendra Chahal’s heroics with the ball, RCB lost opener Aaron Finch early. But Padikkal and Kohli made sure there was not going to be a choke as their fluent knocks led RCB to a comfortable victory.
Devdutt Padikkal is just 20 years of age and is already lighting up the IPL with his elegant hitting. He has moved up to 4th place in the race for the Orange Cap. He is being touted by players and pundits alike as a future opener for the Indian national team.
Padikkal’s throwback picture
Following Padikkal’s impressive partnership with captain Kohli that led to RCB’s win, Padikkal took to Twitter to share a throwback picture of him and Virat Kohli. The picture shows a visibly younger Padikkal posing for a photograph after having received a medal from Kohli. Padikkal captioned the picture, “Passion. Purpose. Progress”. He added a hashtag saying he was grateful.
