Kagiso Rabada is the winner of the purple cap for the Dream11 IPL 2020 in the UAE. He automatically claims this award as Jasprit Bumrah remained wicketless for Mumbai Indians in the final game. Rabada has 29 wickets so far and could improve his tally in the second innings of the finals.
Rabada is the third South African bowler to win the purple cap award in the Indian Premier League. He is also the second fast bowler from South Africa to take the award for the highest number of wickets in the tournament. The other bowlers are leg spinner Imran Tahir and Morne Morkel. Tahir won the award for Chennai Super Kings while Morkel won for Delhi Daredevils.
Jasprit Bumrah ended his IPL 2020 season with 27 wickets as he could not pick up any wicket against Delhi Capitals in the final. Trent Boult was on fire once again in the powerplay as his brilliant bowling spell gave a good start for MI. DC were reduced to 22/3 within four overs as Boult took two wickets in two overs.
