It has been a happening season for Kolkata Knight Riders. They snatched a close victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad the other day. But Pat Cummins is convinced that thay are yet to have an all round win as a side. KKR currently sit fourth on the points table with 5 wins ans 4 loses.

The side has gone through a lot in the last couple of weeks but are now looking a more stable side with the inclusion of Lockie Ferguson. Former skipper Dinesh Kartik seem to back in touch and this means a lot for the side who are looking for some stability in their middle order. And Cummins is happy to be in the top four as they hit the business end of the tournament.

I think five wins, four losses, you know, is a pretty good result. We’re in the top-four. And I don’t think we’ve played anywhere near our best cricket yet, we haven’t played that complete game that blows a team out of the water,” Cummins said during a media interaction.

Bagging close calls a good sign

KKR

Of the five wins KKR boasts, three have been very close games, those against Chennai, Punjab and Hyderabad. It was Prasid Krishna and Sunil Narine who came to rescue against KXIP while it was Lockie Ferguson against SRH.

Cummins hails these close calls as signs that they are a good side. He shares that they are confident of winning from any situation and some work in righ areas will do the trick for them

We had no right to win those two games, but we still won… That’s a sign of a really good side. We feel like we can win from any position. So, hopefully we can just work on a couple of areas, don’t want to peak too early, by the final we’ll be right to go.
