IPL 2020: Kieron Pollard touches down UAE to join Mumbai Indians squad

West Indies all-rounder, Keiron Pollard has arrived UAE to join Mumbai Indians squad ahead of IPL 2020. Pollard is coming into the tournament after leading Trinbago Knight Riders to 4th CPL title. Kerion Pollard and Co. remained unbeaten in the tournament, securing wins in all eleven games they played.

Kieron Pollard has been in a sensational form, lately. He has scored runs every time he got an opportunity to bat. In the recently concluded CPL, Pollard picked 8 wickets with the ball. Besides, he scored 207 runs in the tournament and was also awarded the player of the tournament.

Along with Pollard, a lot of other players, who played CPL, also reached UAE on Saturday. All-rounder Sherfane Rutherford will join Mumbai Indians squad, while Dwayne Bravo will join CSK squad. Players such as Sunil Narine and Ali Khan have also arrived to join KKR ahead of the tournament.

As per the protocols, all the players will serve a six-day mandatory quarantine period. The players will be tested thrice during this period. If they return with negative COVID tests in all three occasions, the players will then be allowed to join their respective squads in the bio-security bubble.

IPL 2020 SLATED TO START FROM 19TH SEPTEMBER 2020:

The 13th edition of Indian Premier League is scheduled to start from 19th September 2020. All the matches will be played across three venues in UAE- Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. The two finalists of last year, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will square up against each other in the season opener.

This year, only ten doubleheader matches will be conducted in the tournament. The final will be played on 10th November 2020.
