Two-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in match 38 of the ongoing tournament. The two sides will lock horns at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium of Abu Dhabi on October 21, 2020 (Wednesday) from 7:30 PM (IST) onwards. 

Both RCB and KKR currently occupy the third and fourth spots at the Points Table respectively. Last time when these two teams met in IPL 2020, the Bangalore-based franchise registered a one-sided victory of 82 runs.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

With five wins in nine matches, KKR has gained 10 points in IPL 2020 thus far. Moreover, they registered a brilliant victory in their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad under the captaincy of Eoin Morgan. 

Lockie Ferguson’s inclusion gave them the much-needed boost in the previous game that went down to the Super Over. But Andre Russell wasn’t 100 per cent fit during that match and, as a result, Sunil Narine might make his comeback. His inclusion in the side can turn out to be a significant difference for Kolkata.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore have won six out of their nine matches of this year’s IPL edition. Their one of the most important players AB de Villiers clinched the previous encounter for them against Rajasthan Royals. 

Seeing at the current situation, RCB looks in the red-hot form to make it to the playoffs this year. Although Aaron Finch’s performance will be a concern for them, they will take the field with the same playing XI in the clash against Kolkata.
