The Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma’s latest tweet for the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) skipper KL Rahul has become another reason for causing a storm on social media as fans think he took a shot at Virat Kohli. It’s all happened after ‘Hit-Man’ took to Twitter to praise Rahul for his blistering knock of 132 runs in the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Thursday.

After his brilliant knock, Rahul became the first player to hit a century in IPL 2020 as he powered his team to a massive total of 206 for 3 in the 20 overs. The dashing right-handed batsman smashed 132 runs off just 69 balls with 14 fours and 7 sixes.

In the 19th overs of their innings, Rahul smashed 26 runs to Dale Steyn and achieved his second IPL century so far. He finished his show by smashing Shivam Dube four and two sixes in the last over of the innings.

His blistering knock of 132 runs – is the highest individual score by an Indian batsman in the IPL history. Moreover, during the innings, Rahul also becomes the fastest to 2000 runs in IPL.

A nightmare for Virat Kohli

It was the horrible day for the captain Kohli. Virat dropped two catches of Rahul who went on to blast with his performance. After these drops, with the bat, Kohli fell for just 1 run as he top-edged a short ball from Sheldon Cottrell to be caught.

As soon as he out, Rohit Sharma took to Twitter and praised Rahul which has convinced many fans that Rohit took a shoot at the RCB captain. The timing of Rohit Sharma’s tweet was surprising. The tweet came as soon as Kohli out even though the century has scored around half an hour ago.

The fans were quick to react to the tweet of Rohit Sharma saying that it was a dig from the India vice-captain at his captain.
