Watch IPL 2020 Video: Mayank Agarwal’s repeats his ‘superhuman’ fielding effort to win the game against Mumbai Indians
The fans witnessed one of the most entertaining matches in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL). After two super overs in a single clash, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) clinched a nail-biting victory over Mumbai Indians (MI) to gain two crucial points in IPL 2020.
During the second super over, KXIP fielder Mayank Agarwal made a stunning effort to save four runs for his side. Fielding at boundary ropes, Agarwal pulled a ball off Kieron Pollard that almost went for a six. With Chris Jordan bowling to Pollard, the latter dug out a yorker and flat-batted it to deep midwicket.
The ball certainly looked to be going over the boundary line, but Agarwal came in between with his ‘superhuman’ effort. He timed his jump to perfection, caught the ball and threw it inside the ropes before falling over the boundary line. This tremendous save helped Kings XI Punjab keep MI to just 11.

Agarwal’s similar save for Delhi Daredevils
Mayank Agarwal’s save at the boundary ropes wasn’t his first one in this tournament. Back in 2015, he pulled out a similar effort for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The brilliant fielding effort came after SRH batsman Karn Sharma chipped the ball off Aussie pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile over the infield towards the cover boundary. Agarwal came in between that shot too and saved crunch runs for his team. His effort turned out to be the difference in this clash as well as Delhi clinched the game by a paltry margin of four runs.
