IPL 2020: “Pat Cummins is the most challenging bowler I faced,” says Nitish Rana

Pat Cummins

Kolkata Knight Riders‘ middle-order batsman Nitish Rana has stated that Australian Fast bowler and his teammate ‘Pat Cummins‘ is the most challenging bowler he had ever faced. Rana added that KKR is lucky to have Cummins in the squad.
The left-hander addressed a virtual press conference of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Thursday.
“Pat Cummins is the most challenging bowler to face and luckily, he is in our team. I don’t think anybody else [among the bowlers] from the opponent teams will be a problem as such,” Rana said.
“Cummins brings inexperience and I want all our young bowlers, who have been doing well in domestic and for KKR in the past two years, to learn from him and grow as players,” he further added.
Nitish Rana is a vital middle-order batsman for KKR. Last season he capitalized his performances after the top order failed to perform. Rana scored 344 runs at an impressive strike rate of 146.38 in 14 matches for KKR.
Young bowlers should look to learn from Cummins: Rana

The 26-year-old batsman from Delhi expresses that KKR have a very strong bowling unit. Rana says that Cummins joining the side adds the much-needed experience to the KRR squad.
“Our bowling attack is actually quite strong, With Cummins joining us, we get a boost in experience in our squad. Our young bowlers have been excellent in domestic competitions and for Knight Riders for the past two years, and my earnest wish is that they learn as much as they can from Cummins, so they can evolve into better players for the team,” he added.
KKR have young fast bowlers Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi in their side. Nagarkoti was injured during the last season for KKR, while Mavi will play his second year in IPL.
KKR start their IPL 2020 campaign from 23rd November. Pat Cummins and Eoin Morgan are set to join KKR for the first game.
