IPL 2020: Schedule for playoffs announced; Final to take place in Dubai
IPL
The Indian Premier League 2020 is in full swing at the moment. The tournament is nearing its fag end and teams are looking to the title clash on the 10th of November when the IPL concludes.
At the moment, three sides have set the tone for contending for the title by winning 7 matches out of their first 11 matches. They are Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The other sides like Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are vying for the elusive fourth spot while the likes of Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have an outside chance of making it through.
Teams will want to get to top 2 on the table as the structure of the IPL is such that the top 2 sides will have another shot at making it to the finals even if they lose their first playoff game. The 3rd and the 4th sides on the other hand will have to win two in a row in the playoffs to make it to the finals.
