IPL 2020 : “Surya namaskar,” Twitter erupts following Suryakumar Yadav’s heroics against RCB

Last night the top two sides of IPL 2020, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore, faced off to decide the first qualifier of the season. As expected the game was an entertaining one. But it was the knock of Suryakumar Yadav and all the theatrics around him that stole the spotlight. While the nation is struggling to deal with Suryakumar’s omission from the Australia tour, the Mumbai batter slammed the selectors and critics with an unbeaten 79 run knock. Yadav went on to make a unique gesture after the game to spice things up.
Yadav has been in superb touch over the couple of years in the IPL as well as in domestic circuit. Yet he was left out of the Indian side for the Australia tour. Many veterans a including Harbhajan Singh and Dilip Vengsarkar spoke out in his favor. Yadav now has 362 runs in IPL 2020 after his heroics against RCB.
With all the emotions running high last night at Abu Dhabi, Twitter erupted in praise of the 30-year-old batsmen. Even the likes of Indian coach Ravi Shastri, Krish Srikkanth, Virendra Sehwag and Scott Styris came forward to laud Yadav for his grit and consistency.
