IPL 2020: “This is the best feeling ever,” says DC skipper Shreyas Iyer after SRH win
Delhi Capitals bounced back in the penultimate game of IPL 2020 against Sunrisers Hyderabad to clinch a 17-run victory in qualifier two. With this win, the Delhi-based franchise qualified for the finals for the first time in the history of the tournament.
DC skipper Shreyas Iyer also expressed his excitement after the match. He called this victory the ‘best feeling ever in his life’. The 25-year old also lauded the performance of his teammates during the all-important game against David Warner’s men.
“Best feeling ever. The journey has been a rollercoaster. End of the day we stuck together as a family. Very happy with the effort every individual has put in. Has taught me many things. A lot of responsibility comes with being a captain. But have been getting support from coaches and support staff,” Shreyas Iyer said during the post-match presentation ceremony.

“On top of that, the team has been so special. Really fortunate to have such an amazing team. The emotions keep going high and low, so you can’t have the same set of routines,” he added.
MI is the biggest team: Iyer
Shreyas Iyer admitted that Mumbai Indians is the best team in the tournament thus far. DC will now face the MI Paltan on November 10 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai where the winner will clinch the IPL 2020 title.
“Have to keep chopping and changing. Hoping that in the next game as well, against MI the biggest team, we’re able to play freely. We’re going at 10rpo, but we know Rashid can be lethal in the middle. The plan was to not give him wickets. Were lacking with the opening partnership. Needed a rocket start. We thought if he (Stoinis) goes and plays maximum deliveries he can give us a good start,” Iyer signed off.
