The 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) turned out to be one of the most special seasons for every cricket fan. IPL 2020 was organised in UAE during the tough times due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The fans got everything to watch during these 60 matches in almost two months.

Rahul Tewatia’s heroics against KXIP
Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Rahul Tewatia became an overnight star during the IPL 2020. He emerged as a surprise package during the game against Kings XI Punjab. After struggling at 17 from 23 at one stage, Tewatia went on to smash five sixes in an over off Sheldon Cottrell. As a result, RR chased down a massive total of 224 with three deliveries remaining.
Anrich Nortje clocked 156kmph+
Delhi Capitals speedster Anrich Nortje bowled the fastest ball in the IPL history during a game against Rajasthan Royals. The Proteas pacer clocked 156.22 kmph (97 mph) while bowling to wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler. This wasn’t the only time when he bowled such a pacy delivery as the 26-year old bowled the top four fastest deliveries of the tournament.

Virat Kohli-Suryakumar Yadav stare-off
Royal Challengers Bangalore fans got to witness yet another aggressive moment from their skipper Virat Kohli. The incident took place during RCB’s clash against Mumbai Indians during the league games of the tournament. During the 13th over, Kohli walked up to the MI batsman while staring angrily at him. However, Yadav stayed calm and remained not out to clinch the game for his side.
MS Dhoni retiring- ‘Definitely Not’
Chennai Super Kings witnessed their worst season in the history of the tournament as they failed to reach the playoffs for the first time. But the CSK fans got delighted after skipper MS Dhoni cleared that he’s not retiring from IPL anytime soon. During the last league game of Chennai, commentator Danny Morrison asked him if this could be his last IPL game in yellow. To this, Dhoni replied with a wry smile, ‘Definitely not!’.
MI vs KXIP: Double Super Over
One of the rarest incidents in cricket history took place during this year’s Indian Premier League. The clash between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians got tied and went to the Super Over. The thrill didn’t end here as the Super Over also got tied. Finally, KXIP registered a nail-biting victory in the second Super Over conducted to decide the winner. Interestingly, Kolkata Knight Riders-Sunrisers Hyderabad clash result, earlier that day, was also decided in a Super Over.
