IPL 2020: Twitter reacts to Ben Stokes’ match-winning century against Mumbai Indians

Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) all-rounder Ben Stokes came into his own for his side against Mumbai Indians (MI) to flatten the latter’s bowling attack en route his century to guide his side to a crucial victory. The MI bowlers had no clue to Stokes’ brutal assault as the left-handed batsman reached his century off 59 balls to help his side chase a mammoth total.

MI won the toss and chose to bat first. Despite jitters in the beginning and the middle orders, Hardik Pandya launched a stunning attack on the RR bowlers as he hit 27 runs apiece of overs from Ankit Rajpoot and Kartik Tyagi. The MI all-rounder’s 60 off 21 balls took MI to 195.

Chasing a huge total, RR lost Robin Uthappa and Steve Smith early. However, Stokes joined hands with Sanju Samson and stitched together a blistering, match-winning partnership. The MI bowlers had no clue on how to stop the duo as they received a pummeling. The huge target was conquered in a mere 18.2 overs. Ben Stokes proved yet again why he is one of, if not the best all-rounder in the world at the moment.
