IPL 2020: Twitter reacts to Kings XI Punjab’s thrilling win over Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) imploded in what was a simple chase against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and boosted the latter’s chances in their bid to make the playoffs of the Indian Premier League. Nothing seemed to go right for KXIP in a dismal first innings for them. Right from the toss which SRH won, it was a sorry show by the KXIP players in the first half of the match.

Put in to bat first, KXIP lost Mandeep Singh early on in their innings. Despite KL Rahul and Chris Gayle rebuilding well, the duo perished off consecutive overs to leave their side reeling. They never recovered from there as the likes of Glenn Maxwell and Deepak Hooda disappointed with the bat. In the end, KXIP could only score 126 runs.

Chasing a modest total, SRH got off to a blazing start from their openers. Thanks to the start, despite a collapse in the middle-overs, SRH seemed set to chase down the total thanks to assured knocks from Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar. However, the KXIP bowlers had other ideas as they picked up wicket after wicket to choke the SRH batters. SRH lost their last 7 wickets for 14 runs to cap off a stunning implosion and a KXIP win.
