IPL 2020: Twitter reacts to Manish Pandey’s counter-attacking knock against Rajasthan Royals

Manish Pandey produced a stunning innings of counter-attacking brilliance to lead Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to a comprehensive 8-wicket victory and help them go 5th in the Indian Premier League points table. Pandey came in when SRH skipper David Warner was dismissed in the very first over by Jofra Archer. Jonny Bairstow followed his skipper to the pavilion soon as well.

Pandey and Vijay Shankar were then involved in an unbeaten partnership of 140 runs to help their side chase 155 runs. Pandey was the standout batsman in the partnership as he kept finding the boundary at will. Instead of looking to defend and play out overs to finish it off in the end, Pandey launched a counter-attacking masterclass.

When all batsmen struggled to get going including the likes of Warner, Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Steve Smith and Jos Buttler, Pandey’s class shone through as he led his side to a crucial win.
