IPL 2020 UAE: Delhi Capitals (DC) Team Profile Overview, Stats, Auctions Analysis, Season-Wise Performance, Full Schedule and Squad

With the scarcely perfect combination of young talent and experienced players, Delhi all set to get their maiden IPL title.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) have never been sort of talent or big names in their squad. Some of the best players like Kevin Pietersen, David Warner, Glenn Maxwell have represented the franchise but none of these players has been able to win the IPL title wearing that Jersey.

The young and dynamic team of Delhi were captained by Shreyas Iyer in previous two seasons and they did well in the last season as they reached to playoffs.

The franchise has formed a very sporting team for this season and with the scarcely perfect combination of young talent and experienced players, Delhi all set to get their maiden IPL title.

Delhi Capitals: Team Overview

Delhi would be missing England opener Jason Roy, who had pulled out of the season due to personal reasons, there are quite a few new players in the grades like Ajinkya Rahane, Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis and Alex Carey who can steer the franchise to new elevations.

Strengths

The franchise’s batting line up is one of the strongest within the present IPL teams. It has an impressive combination of youth and experience. They have got four opening players in the form of Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Jason Roy and Ajinkya Rahane.

With their decent international experience, Dhawan and Roy will prove worthwhile for DC while the involvement of Marcus Stoinis and Shimrom Hetmyer will reinforce the batting of the franchise.

Weaknesses

However, the franchise got good spin bowling options in the form of R. Ashwin, Sandeep Lamichhane, Amit Mishra and Axar Patel. The spinner Kagiso Rabada can utilise the new ball really competently.

Delhi Capitals requires inclination in their fast bowling department. Indifferent from Ishant Sharma and Rabada, only Tushar Deshpande a young fast bowler is there but he too has a very little experience.
