IPL 2020: ‘Will make comeback in their next game’ – CSK CEO Vishwanathan update on Ambati and Bravo

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have a tough time so far in Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). Since their arrival in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), 13 members tested positive for coronavirus. To plunges more misery, their two-star players – Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh pulled out of the tournament citing personal reasons.

Despite all these hurdles in their journey, CSK managed to start the season by a victory over defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in Abu Dhabi.

The star player of the match – Ambati Raydu who scored a brilliant 71 runs off 48 balls, was sidelined from the next two games due to his injury, resulted to CSK defeats. Rajasthan Royals defeated MS Dhoni-led side by 16 runs followed by a 44 run loss against Delhi Capitals.

On his comeback to the team, CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan told Sportstar, “Rayudu has recovered well from a hamstring strain and will play in the next game. He ran and sprinted during training and batted without any discomfort at the nets.”

Subsequently, another major absentee for the franchise – Dwayne Bravo, who has missed all three games for the side so far. Sam Curran is doing well for the Yellow Army but fans wants to see Bravo charm on the field.

He bowled well at the nets,” said Viswanathan. He further added that CSK, who lost their last two games, will make a comeback in their next game. “We have bounced back from adversity in the past. We will do so again.”

CSK will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in their next fixture on Friday (October 2) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
