Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) boast a strong battling line-up with the likes of their captain Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers who possess the capability of taking wind out of opposition’s sails. But the team has often been let down by their bowling department.

Their bowling, especially at the death, has been a matter of concern for the coach and the captain. But team’s spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, feels the team will come out good in the death overs this season.

Chahal is confident of RCB’s bowling at the death

The Bengaluru team will lock horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad on September 21st in its first match. Chahal, who has been RCB’s maintstay, believes the team has sorted out bowling at the death this time.

Umesh Yadav, Chris Morris, Dale Steyn and Navdeep Saini

“We have sorted out our bowling in the death overs. We have Dale (Steyn) sir, (Navdeep) Saini, (Chris) Morris and Umesh (Yadav) bhaiya. We are not worried about bowling the last few overs because everyone is ready and on wickets here (in UAE) spinners too can chip in with a couple of over,” Chahal was quoted by Cricbuzz.

Chahal is all praise for Adam Zampa

When asked about the inclusion of Australian player Adam Zampa, Chahal said, “Zampa is a wonderful legspinner who comes with a lot of experience. His arrival has strengthened our attack because he comes fresh from international duty in the T20 format.”

Zampa joined the RCB camp after Kane Richardson pulled out of the tournament to attend his pregnant wife. RCB will be hoping that the Australian becomes a vital cog in the team and help them win more matches this season.
