IPL 2021: Who’s going to win today’s match? – KKR vs RCB, Match 30

Kolkata Knight Riders are in desperate need for a change in their fortunes this season.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are in a huge spot of bother in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the moment as they’ve won just 2 matches out of their first 7. With a variety of problems including team balance and combination plaguing them, today’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) would be the perfect opportunity to start turning things around in the second half of the season.

RCB on the other hand are comfortably placed as they have won 5 matches in the first half of the league phase. Although their loss in the previous match is bound to have raised some questions especially about the strength of the batting when the likes of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers fail, RCB would still be overwhelming favourites to win this encounter, unless KKR come up with a special display.

Who will win today’s match: KKR vs RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore will be the overwhelming favourites to win this encounter. Although their death bowling took a tonking in their previous match and their elite stars failed to come good, the Virat Kohli-led side would want to treat it as a one-off (or a two-off rather, since it also happened against Chennai Super Kings). Against lowly Kolkata Knight Riders, RCB might have it easy.

KKR on the other hand are bound to make changes today as head coach Brendon McCullum promised. Unless there is a huge turnaround in the way the side approaches things, KKR will not be able to trouble their opposition. RCB will fancy their chances of getting back to winning ways today and there is a good chance of the same happening.

Prediction: RCB to win
