IPL 2021: Who’s going to win today’s match? – RR vs KKR, Match 18

Rajasthan Royals (RR) go head-to-head with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) today at the Wankhede Stadium in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Both sides were beaten in their previous matches and both find themselves having just one win from their first four matches. Hence, the intensity is bound to be high as both sides would bid to clinch their crucial second win to revive their season.

RR’s bowling as well as the top-order batting came a cropper in the previous match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RR). The same problem plagued KKR against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The two sides would thus, want to rectify that and end their Mumbai leg of the tournament on a high. On that note, we take a look at who we think would come up trumps in today’s match.

Who will win today’s match: RR vs KKR

With both sides in a spot of bother, it would be difficult to predict as to who would be favourites. However, KKR would think they have the upper hand today due to the strength of their team on paper as well as the nature of both sides’ defeats in the previous match. RR couldn’t take a single wicket in the match against RCB and that would be a huge factor which is bound to have demoralized the side.

KKR did not go down easily without a fight in their previous match. They fought hard through their lower-order and gave CSK an almighty scare. With the likes of Andre Russell in form, KKR would just want their top order to fire for normalcy to return. They needn’t make changes to their line-up as well. It’s not such smooth sailing for RR whose entire squad balance seems to be a big question mark. Therefore, KKR would be favourites to win today.
