IPL 2023 auction: Which state has the most number of players?
Which state has the most number of players?
Just a few days are left for the most-awaiting auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The event will take place on December 23 in Kochi and the list of the number of registered players was released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). A total of 405 players across the world have registered their names, out of them 273 are Indians.
Amongst the 273 Indians, a total of 21 players are from Jammu and Kashmir. Surprisingly, J&K has the most number of players on the shortlist as compared to other states.
It all started with Parvez Rasool, the first J&K player who signed up for the IPL. Needless to say, Umran Malik, who also hails from J&K is quite a sensation. The spearhead can constantly deliver at 150+ kph. It will be interesting to see if other players from the state can take the centre stage the way Umran did. Sunrisers Hyderabad have retained Umran and Abdul Samad, both belong to J&K.
J&K players in the auction list for IPL 2023: Shubham Khajuria, Vivrant Sharma, Mujtaba Yousuf, Abid Mushtaq, Yudhvir Charak, Basit Bashir, Rasikh Dar, Waseem Khanday, Avinash Singh, Aman Sharma, Fazil Makaya, Ateev Saini, Shahrukh Dar, Lone Muzaffar, Auqib Dar, Asad Jamil Ahmed, Aashish Bhatt, Gourav Koul, Rajeev Singh, Mohd. Wasim, Sampark Gupta.
