The 28 year old Midfielder, Isco has been in and out of the team for some time. He hasn’t been able to nail a starting berth in the Real Madrid team. This has been frustrating for both the player and the fans. Moreover, the coach hasn’t opted to play Isco much this season and only gave him sporadic appearances.

Isco was taken off during half time in the disappointing 1-0 defeat against Cadiz and hasn’t played the next two matches since. This frustration led him to say that Zidane doesn’t give much chances. The Movistar cameras caught him say, “If Zidane has to take me off, he takes me off in the 50th or 60th minute, sometimes at half-time. If he has to bring me on, he brings me on in the 80th minute.”

His teammates Modric and Marcelo laughed off his suggestions. However, Zidane after the match against Cadiz said, “It was a bad day, we want to change things, and Isco first of all.”

Nevertheless, the team performed exceptionally to beat FC Barcelona 3-1 in the El Classico. Moreover, this win removed the pressure on Zidane after Real Madrid lost two matches consecutively. Real Madrid are also sitting at second in the La Liga table with a game in hand. They play Borussia Monchengladbach next in the Champions League group stage.
