Just a couple of days before colliding with Logan Paul in Paris, John Cena dropped some more wisdom on the social media icon. This past Friday on SmackDown, a point came when the Peacemaker star brought up the list of top 25 influencers in the world, and Paul’s name was nowhere to be found on it, said Cena. ‘The Cenation Leader’ mentioned how Druski, Kai Cenat, and IShowSpeed made that list.

Speed, who topped the chart, has even reacted to Cena’s shoutout from SmackDown. The 20-year-old streamer thanked the Hollywood mogul for acknowledging his accolade but was taken aback when he heard that Paul didn’t make the cut on the creators list.

One could check out Speed’s complete reaction below. Coming back to what Cena told ‘The Maverick’, he affirmed that after making Vine videos at 12 and dropping some diss tracks at 18, he’s now making the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

‘The Franchise Player’ also stated that the Westlake-born star’s influence was shrinking and he’s searching for a new revenue stream. Cena disputed Logan Paul‘s claims of WWE fans not being ready to accept change by saying that they don’t see the conviction in whatever Paul does; they see more of a gimmick than the man that he is.

‘The Prototype’ underscored the former US Champion’s lack of respect toward this business and the fans in general. Cena then showed him how respect is a mutual phenomenon by apologizing to the same kid he once singled out during an episode of Raw in Brussels earlier this year. The 17-time world champion found that boy out and said sorry for saying those hurtful things to him in the past.

What would John Cena be up to after Clash in Paris showdown?

As of now, John Cena has 9 dates left on his ongoing farewell tour in WWE. After he wraps it up with Logan Paul this Sunday afternoon at Clash in Paris, the Heads of State actor will enter a high-profile feud with Brock Lesnar. The Beast’s jaw-dropping return at SummerSlam saw him go right after Cena.

Even though Lesnar hasn’t shown up since then, he’s advertised for a couple of SmackDown dates on 9/11 and 9/18. Cena, on the other hand, will be at the blue brand’s taping in Chicago this week, followed by an appearance on Raw dated 9/15. That would appear as if these superstars wouldn’t be under the same roof even once during the build-up to their highly anticipated matchup.

The fans would be highly disappointed if that’s how it actually turns out. Because in less than three weeks’ time, Cena and Lesnar will lock horns at Wrestlepalooza on September 20. The said PLE will directly oppose AEW’s All Out pay-per-view in a conspicuous attempt to counter-program the rival promotion.

John Cena’s SmackDown apology to kid gets rave reviews by Tommy Dreamer

The segment where John Cena sold out to The Rock at the Elimination Chamber and turned heel for the first time since 2003 was one of the greatest swerves in WWE history. The follow-up to that? Not so much. The company turned Cena back into a babyface before SummerSlam, and it appears that was the right call.

At least, the 48-year-old is now getting to right everyone he has wronged in kayfabe, especially the fans. As mentioned above, Cena apologized to the same kid on this week’s SmackDown on whom he went off in Belgium for being a part of the toxic, dysfunctional relationship he’d forged with the WWE Universe.

The Ricky Stanicky star made amends for it by telling that boy he was having a really bad day when he said those hurtful things and even thanked the kid for never losing hope in him.

That particular moment made ECW original Tommy Dreamer emotional. He talked about it on the Busted Open Radio podcast and absolutely loved that callback, adding that it made him feel he’d forever be in Cena’s corner.

Dreamer was glad for the wholesome interaction between Cena and that kid he once disparaged on national television, as barely anyone from the audiences would get to experience something like that little boy did.
