‘They don’t know how hard I can hit’ – Jake Paul sends a stern warning to people writing him off ahead of fight with Ben Askren

We are inching closer and closer to Jake Paul vs Ben Askren. The YouTube star will be welcoming Ben Askren to his pro-boxing debut on 17th of April, this Saturday. All eyes will be on Askren, as he has got the whole MMA community backing him.

Speaking in an interview with YouTuber True Geordie, Jake Paul revealed that people are writing him off just because he is a YouTuber. He added that no one knows how hard he hits. While also giving credit to Ben Askren’s chin, he went on to state that he has been working harder than ever – Ben Askren’s training camp would come nowhere close to his.

Jake Paul was quoted as saying, “I think it’s hilarious. Again, I have the ace up my sleeve and these guys don’t know what I’m capable of. They don’t know how hard I can hit.”

Speaking about Ben Askren, Paul said, “Sure, Ben has a great chin, he’s been hit by Robbie Lawler a couple of times but this guy is coming off of a knockout, coming off of a loss and to sit here and think that this old guy Ben Askren – for people to say he has better cardio than me or that I’m gonna get tired is absolutely hilarious. Ben Askren can’t work as hard as me in one practice. My one practice is harder than his whole entire training camp.”

He concluded, “Every single day of this camp will be harder than what the actual fight night is. I’m going to go in there and fight someone who is a lesser opponent than all these guys I’ve sparred. I’m going to drop him in six minutes or less and I’m going to f*****g walk out of the arena and that’s that.”

Ben Askren is coming off a defeat against Demian Maia in November 2019, which happened to be his last professional MMA match. He retired after that, and had a Birmingham Hip Resurfacing done. Renowned for his exceptional grappling skills, Ben is a novice when it comes to Boxing.

Jake Paul, on the other hand, has been on a knockout spree since making his debut only last year. He beat fellow YouTuber AnesonGib on his debut, via. knockout in the first round. He then took on Ex-basketballer Nate Robinson, and knocked him out cold in the second. He surely means business!
