Jameis Winston keeps winning people’s hearts. The veteran New York Giants quarterback helped Japanese soccer team supporters clean up trash at Dallas Stadium following the team’s 2-2 draw against the Netherlands at the ongoing World Cup.

The Giants ended their season without playoff football, but Winston’s season didn’t end. FOX Sports hired the 32-year-old signal caller as a special correspondent for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

After the final whistle at Arlington on Sunday, Winston joined Japanese supporters to clean the bleachers. Fans at home witnessed a very special moment when Winston held a trash bag for a specially abled fan.

For Winston, it may be a newer experience, but the fans of the Blue Samurai are famous for their gesture regardless of the event.

Winston posted a video on his social media accounts walking with the Orange Army (the Netherlands) while wearing their iconic colors. He had to wait until halftime for the first goal.

Dutch captain Virgil van Dijk scored in the 51st minute. But it didn’t take long for the Asian country to level the scores. In the 57th minute, Stade Reims midfielder Keito Nakamura equalized for Japan.

Recently relegated English club West Ham United’s winger Crysencio Summerville made it 2-1 for the Netherlands. However, their defense conceded late in the game.

Crystal Palace midfielder Daichi Kamada smashed home Japan’s answer in the 89th minute to avoid defeat.

In the fourth and final game of the day, Sweden took down Tunisia 5-1 to take the first spot for the time being, followed by Japan and the Dutch.

Winston celebrated Folarin Balogun’s goal for the USMNT

The USMNT began its journey with a resounding 4-1 victory against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on June 12. USA striker Folarin Balogun contributed two goals in the victory.

Balogun’s second goal in particular was a showstopper. The Monaco forward sidestepped the final Paraguay defender to smash a left-footed shot in the top right-hand corner. The crowd inside the stadium went wild, including Winston, who watched the goal from the bleachers.

Winston celebrated the New York Knicks’ historic NBA Championship finals win

The New York Knicks found themselves on shaky ground when the San Antonio Spurs made it 2-1 in the seven-game series. The first three quarters in game four proved that the momentum was in the Spurs’ favor until the Knicks crawled back from 27 points down to win the game.

All eyes shifted to Game five in Texas. Jalen Brunson scored 45 points to lead the Knicks to a historic NBA Championship triumph after a 53-year wait.

Winston couldn’t make it to the game, but sent his best wishes to the Knicks.

Winston signed a two-year, $8 million contract with the Giants. He watched Russell Wilson and Jaxson Dart take turns at quarterback. With Wilson retired, Winston is expected to be the primary backup to Dart in 2026.
