Jannik Sinner has dominated the first quarter of the ATP season. With one Grand Slam, one ATP 500 and one Masters 1000 title, the Italian has been the best in-form player so far. However, the injury seems to have gotten on the way to his flying start, but the 22-year-old has sent a strong message on social media.

The Australian Open champion is not giving up after a horrible week that started in Madrid. Sinner had complained about a hip problem after his third-round match at the Madrid Open but decided to continue. But, his round of 16 match against Russian Karen Khachanov which lasted more than two hours was the last the Italian played on the court.

He has already announced he will not be participating at the Italian Open in Rome, a competition his home fans would have been eager to see him play. Sinner termed the unfortunate situation as “a tough call” as he withdrew from the Masters tournament in Rome. This also puts him at risk of not participating in the French Open which starts on May 26.

He has only been defeated twice this season, the least by any men’s player and has won a remarkable 28 matches. The 22-year-old biggest victory of the season came in Melbourne early this year when he beat Novak Djokovic in three sets and went on to clinch the title. Despite the circumstance, Sinner is not giving up as he believes he will come back stronger.

It's never a straight road. We will come back stronger. #Forza.
