Mina Kimes is involved in a conflict with Jason Brown after he criticized her analysis of Patriots quarterback Drake Maye’s performance in the Week 7 win against the Tennessee Titans. Jason Whitlock has also chimed in with his opinions on the situation.

Whitlock has a history with women in broadcast. Previously, he started an online war of words with Joy Taylor after she was fired from FOX Sports. Taylor retaliated by commenting on Whitlock’s appearance and his relevance as a journalist.

So it came as a little surprise when Whitlock chose to side with Brown in his battle with Kimes. The former ESPN contributor even made borderline misogynistic comments while giving his take. Whitlock said on his podcast:

JB [Jason Brown], you and Mina Kimes are going at it, and there have been second and third men enter the ring. She’s tapped in a few guys to help her out, or guys that volunteered. They’ve capped up and are trying to say Mina Kimes from, you pointed out something about cover four

What is the premise of Mina Kimes’ feud with Jason Brown?

The New England Patriots were on top when they traveled to Music City to face the struggling Tennessee Titans. Drake Maye took advantage of the opportunity and capped off the outing with 21 completions from 23 attempts (91.3%) for 222 yards, 2 touchdowns, along with 8 carries for 62 yards on the ground as the Patriots came away with a 31-13 victory.

Kimes discussed Maye’s performance on ESPN’s “NFL Live” the following day. She praised the 2024 first-rounder for establishing himself as a legitimate deep-ball specialist and his ability to adapt to the Titans’ zone defense. Kimes said:

Often when you have a young quarterback who’s chucking it, they’re just finding one-on-ones and throwing it outside the numbers. Tennessee played a ton of zone [coverage] against him — which, by the way, I think is defenses starting to fear the Patriots’ passing attack, actually opened up things on the ground — and all of his bombs were just beating zone.

The ‘Last Chance U’ famed Jason Brown disagreed with Kimes’ analysis and made a misogynistic remark on the Coach JB Show with Big Smitty.

Mina Kimes, make me a sammich! @minakimes and @danorlovsky7 can’t allow this much longer!

Kimes found support from various corners. They criticized Brown’s futile effort to demean the 40-year-old.

Kimes chimed in for the first time in the feud.

I was told not to engage with this guy bc he’s a clout-chasing psycho, but I just watched and….did he say not to throw the seam vs 3 or am I hallucinating?

Kimes’ reply only fueled Brown’s agenda. He countered in the same tone as his initial attack.

Even retired NFL CB Domonique Foxworth and Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner got involved in the conversation. Foxworth defended Kimes, and Warner forwarded Foxworth’s argument with his own spin.

It remains to be seen when the feud will end. One thing is for sure: there’s bound to be more heat between Brown and Kimes in the future.
