With the 2024 season just around the corner, the New York Jets are once again relying on the Super Bowl hopes of quarterback Aaron Rodgers. However, it seems they have received a warning from an anonymous NFL agent, claiming the team is experiencing chaos all because of the veteran quarterback.

Talking to The Athletic, an NFL insider shared some insights into the Jets’ building and revealed that there’s “complete disarray” because they vested most of the power in the hands of quarterback Rodgers, who’s anything but a team player to them. It was proved when he skipped the team’s mandatory minicamp to check a box on his bucket list of visiting Egypt

There is complete disarray over there. Look at how they've handled Aaron Rodgers. Has one player had more power than him? He skipped minicamp. They have been unable to convert him into a team player. The vibe inside the building is terrible.
The Athletic’s Ben Standig reported

Since the ten-time Pro Bowler joined the Jets, there have been more controversies than his feats on the football field. After recovering from his serious ACL injury, the team is relying on the hope for Rodgers to bounce back and perform at the elite level he did in the Green Bay Packers.

At present, the Jets have the longest-standing playoff drought of 13 years but if Rodgers failed to be productive this season, it would mark their 14th consecutive season, regardless of adding a competent backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor this offseason.

How Aaron Rodgers looked past his prime even before Achilles injury

Suffering a torn ACL injury at the age of 40 isn’t easy and many believe it would majorly affect the quarterback’s performance in the coming season. However, an anonymous NFL head coach told Standig that Rodgers appeared past his prime even before his last season’s injury.

You go back and watch those first four plays before he got hurt, he did not look good. He looks old. If they can’t protect him and can’t run the football, it’ll be just what you saw in the late stages in Green Bay. He became ineffective. I’m looking at what he is, not who he is.

If the Jets failed to deliver again next season, it could not only plunge them into a crisis mode but would also jeopardize Rodgers’ future in the team, potentially impacting his retirement plans, which he currently estimates to be three to four seasons away.
