It was a rough night for Jey Uso on Raw this Monday. Fresh off ending up on the losing side in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, the 40-year-old faced someone he’d crossed paths with in recent memory, LA Knight.

They battled in the semifinals of The Last Time is Now tournament to determine John Cena‘s final WWE opponent. Knight and Uso displayed decent chemistry. ‘The Yeet Master’ kicked out of the Bull Hammer from ‘The Megastar’ in a near fall.

The latter was no less resilient as he powered out of a spear from Uso. The ending sequence saw Uso superkick Knight and follow it up with an ugly-looking half spear. The former World Heavyweight Champion then hit a splash to segue into the cover, thinking it’d seal the deal.

‘The Defiant One’, however, got the shoulder up in the nick of time and quickly rolled up the former Bloodline member to advance into the finals of the ongoing tournament. The fans will know the last-ever WWE opponent of Cena by this week’s SmackDown, as Knight goes one-on-one with Gunther in the final hurdle. Circling back to what that loss did to Jey, it broke him to the core.

‘The Yeet Master’ crashed out at ringside by destroying the PRIME hydration station and displacing the steel steps. Later on, Uso was seen exiting the arena until Jackie Redmond approached him to get some answers on his mental state. The former Intercontinental Champion was heartbroken, and he blew Redmond off for the interview.

He had no answers about the mystery attacker who was involved in the WarGames match ending, nor did he care about Bron Breakker becoming the number one contender to CM Punk‘s World Heavyweight title. The Anoa’i clan wrestler alluded to being in a turbulent headspace before storming off. Uso, however, came back and let it out.

The 8-time tag team champion quoted his cousin Roman Reigns‘ recent statement of world titles looking better on his shoulders than they do on anyone else, including Jey Uso himself. Does that mean the once-accused Hothead has no desire left to chase the world title again?

It’s a very important character arc for the San Francisco native, and the fans are hopeful of this setback morphing Uso into a more serious version of himself. He got ridiculed by those on the internet for initiating an encore of his entrance midway through the WarGames match on Saturday. The ex-Bloodline member kept yeeting with the fans until Brock Lesnar‘s arrival cut him off.

Jey Uso warns fans against touching or poking him in public

The safety of wrestlers in public settings has more often than not been in jeopardy. Some people just refuse to respect the boundaries. Names like Rhea Ripley and CM Punk have repeatedly fallen victim to getting swarmed by fans or being followed on their way out of airports. The latest addition to that list is Jey Uso.

The Raw star took to Instagram Stories and urged the fans not to touch or poke him in public. Uso, in disgust, asked his followers how many strangers poke them every day, because for him, that number is close to 40. Speaking of his ongoing run in WWE, he has lost the plot. He started the year with a bang by winning the Royal Rumble match and even beating Gunther for the world title at WrestleMania 41.

His reign with the big gold was forgettable, as Uso quickly lost it back to ‘The Ring General’ in a booking decision that drew the ire of his father, Rikishi. In recent months, Roman Reigns asked his cousin to start focusing on himself rather than looking out for his so-called friends on the roster. Uso took the advice to heart and even acted upon it, but didn’t end up with the championship gold regardless.
