Joe Burrow is as electrifying as any of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. But this reputation was initially built during his days at LSU. His Championship winning run translated to him being one of the best athletes to come out of the famed University. Therefore, it was not surprising for the Cincinnati Bengals superstar to place himself on the list of all-time LSU athletes alongside Odell Beckham Jr.

Complex Sports asked the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback to name his Mount Rushmore of LSU athletes. To this, Burrow gave a not so humble answer.

Shaq. Pete Maravich. I'm gonna put me on there. I'm gonna put Odell on there. Yeah.
Joe Burrow said

He chose himself alongside the obvious, basketball greats, Shaquille O’Neal and Pete Maravich. He did take some time to add Odell Beckham Jr. to his list. Well, it does not take anything away from the wideout. After all, he is still one of the best to come out from LSU.

But the speed with which Burrow placed himself on the list showed confidence that he knows what he has done. Not only did he win the college football championship, but he also swept most of the awards college football players can get their hands on. A feat that not many athletes have been able to match.

In fact, Shaquille O’Neal and Pete Maravich never won any college championships. Therefore, on his very Mount Rushmore of LSU athletes, he stands head and shoulders above the rest. If only he can add a Super Bowl to that mix, then no one will dispute that he is the best to come out of that University.

Joe Burrow has a Super Bowl-ready team at his disposal

Almost the entire off-season, the Cincinnati Bengals were mired in a contract extension dispute with Tee Higgins. He wanted to be paid an amount that the Bengals were not willing to match. But all of this noise glossed over what they have done through free agency and the draft.

The Bengals went out and upgraded their offensive line, receiving core, and defense. Essentially, all core pieces they need to keep the Super Bowl window open. The trick here is that the Bengals did not just look at high-priced free agents who can immediately make them title favorites. But the players brought in have the potential to star over the long run.

Suggesting that the Bengals have set up themselves for a longer Super Bowl window than most teams can afford. All without having to pay Higgins an astronomical amount of money. Therefore, all Joe Burrow has to do, is to stay healthy and play lights out, just like he did for LSU.
