The Cincinnati Bengals were pumped up seeing the confidence of Joe Burrow ahead of the 2024 season, however, it all came crashing down with a three-game losing streak. But that hasn’t shaken the star quarterback’s confidence; he is aiming for perfection as he moves forward.
After defeating the Carolina Panthers in week 4, they logged their first win of the season. Now, as they prepare for the upcoming match against the Baltimore Ravens– Burrow knows how crucial it is for them to secure a victory. He recently opened up about the high expectations set for himself and the team facing the first AFC North showdown.
Since Burrow injured his wrist last season, the Bengals haven’t been able to claim their contender status within the division. This time, they are at the advantage of the home game against the divisional rivals; losing this wouldn’t simply throw them at 1-4 but jeopardize their chances of making the playoffs.
Joe Burrow sets high standards for Bengals’ offense moving forward
At present, the Pro Bowler signal-caller believes the Bengals’ offense is stable and they need to be consistent with the performance in the future. Burrow believes the team’s success in reaching the playoffs hinges on having a locker room with a shared mindset for the goal.
Burrow is focusing entirely upon leading the team to victories, rather than his individual stats. He further said that the upcoming match is a big opportunity for the Bengals to showcase their prowess and put the team in the “best position play-in and play-out,” in order to, succeed with the best results.
