It seems like Bayley‘s current WWE standing doesn’t resonate with Jonathan Coachman. The former Raw commentator held no punches while discussing what value she actually brings to the table. Speaking on the Behind the Turnbuckle podcast, Coachman went off on The Role Model saying she’s done and washed up. Coach even called her boring.

The ESPN alum didn’t refrain from bluntly putting it out that it won’t make much difference to the WWE business if the company decides to release her right away. From his time in WWE, Coach said there used to be wrestlers walking around backstage whom he used to look at and ponder over how they were even getting that spotlight, take, for instance, winning the Royal Rumble.

Coachman said that Bayley was one of them. The Kansas native further alluded to the former women’s champion not being a ticket mover for any of the rivalries she’s had. Elsewhere in the conversation, The Coach did mention that she’s a very sweet person, but there are a lot of people like her in WWE, quipped the PFL analyst. The chatter around Bayley has only intensified in recent weeks.

Bayley is done. She’s washed up. She’s boring, she’s nothing anymore. What does she bring to the table?

She was originally set to partner with Lyra Valkyria at WrestleMania 41. The two would’ve gone on to dethrone Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the women’s tag team titles. However, the company decided to leave the former Damage CTRL leader off the card to incorporate a Becky Lynch return. The latter, after turning heel on Valkyria, admitted that she was the one who took Bayley out.

Why does Bayley think about the fans not rating her too high?

In one of the most candid interviews Bayley’s ever done, she sat down with Chris Van Vliet before this year’s WrestleMania. Deep into the conversation, the host wanted her take on a section of fans constantly refusing to put some respect on her name after everything she has done for the industry.

The Role Model, at one point, said that despite being contemporaneous with the WWE debuts of Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, she’s not on their level. As soon as these quotes made it to social media platforms, the netizens wasted little time to lend support to the 35-year-old, with the consensus saying she vastly undervalues herself.

Even “Stone Cold” Steve Austin had to chime in and give the San Jose native her flowers by labeling her as a future WWE Hall of Famer. In the aforementioned chat, Bayley also noted how she almost never makes it to the WWE posters, which has nothing to do with her relationship with the people in the back.

The 49ers buff looked back at not even being called to the press conference after winning last year’s Royal Rumble. However, CM Punk stood up for his friend and urged the fans to treat her with respect. Bayley added that she doesn’t turn down creative pitches and tries to come up with the best she can with whatever is presented to her by the writers. She acquired it from the likes of John Cena and Rey Mysterio.

For how longer does Bayley plan to wrestle?

In one of the excerpts from the Chris Van Vliet interview, Bayley dove into her wrestling retirement plans. She started with explaining that the entire Damage CTRL story was chapter 4 in her career, which to her was extremely special. There might be a couple more left.

On whether she has made up her mind on when to hang up her wrestling boots for good, there’s no such thing as of now. However, when she was growing up, Bayley used to think that 35 was going to be the cutoff age for retirement, which is her current age, and she’ll turn 36 in June.

The erstwhile Hugger cited Trish Stratus and Lita as her heroes, who had relatively shorter in-ring careers but still left an indelible mark on an entire generation of budding female wrestlers. Moreover, Bayley also lauded Natalya for her longevity. The Role Model believes that she has a lot to offer to the locker room, and that’s what continues to drive her.
