To say Brazilian football fans are eager for their first-ever NFL game in the country is an understatement. Jordan Love found out about the excitement through social media.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback noticed a photo of a mural of himself and the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts outside of a tall apartment building. A work of art dedicated to football players who will play each other at the soccer club Corinthian’s Stadium just outside of Sao Paulo.

It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity [and] it's something to be very excited about, the international stage. Brazil, from what I've heard, is a very amazing place, a beautiful place. [And] a very passionate place as well when it comes to sports and their fans.
Jordan Love said to reporters on Sunday

The large mural was the brainchild of artist Crica Monteiro. She jointly shared the post with the NFL on Instagram with the caption, “The most beautiful chapter in the history of the NFL in Brazil begins to be drawn.”

It is a special occasion for two football players who entered the NFL in the same season. While one Hurts became the Eagles starter in his second year, Love had to sit behind veteran Aaron Rodgers at Green Bay before finally taking over as the starting quarterback in 2023.

Even though Hurts faces ample criticism for making a lot of mistakes, Love considers his contemporary one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

He’s just a dawg. He’s one of those quarterbacks who, he’s gonna scramble, and he’s not gonna slide. He’s gonna take some hits, and he’s a bigger guy.

At the very least, the former first-round pick looks forward to playing in Brazil, unlike his running back Josh Jacobs.

Hurts is ready as well and waiting patiently for September 6. Before that, they need to travel 6 hours on an airplane to even reach the samba country. The time doesn’t matter for Hurts, because his only goal is getting off to a positive start.

We [have] prepared. We’ve put in a lot of hard work, and we’ve all committed to what we’re trying to do. It’s all about carrying it out.

November 2022 was the last time the Packers and the Eagles played each other in the NFL. On that occasion, Hurts got the better of Aaron Rodgers (40-33) as they reached the Super Bowl. They eventually lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.
