Kamaru Usman won’t be surprised if Jake Paul beats Jorge Masvidal or Nate Diaz in a potential MMA bout. The YouTuber turned-boxer recently talked about fighting either Masvidal or Diaz in the octagon. Paul made a serious offer of $10 million and mentioned a possible collaboration with PFL for the fight.

While many immediately wrote off Jake Paul and his claims, Kamaru Usman wasn’t so quick with his response. The former UFC welterweight champion recently talked with Henry Cejudo on their podcast. During the conversation, Usman mentioned that given the circumstances in the fight world, anything could happen. Usman revealed that Paul has an opportunity to pull out a major upset and shock the whole world.

Honestly, at this point, I don't even know what to think anymore. I don't completely say it's a wash that (Jake) has no chance in there. Everybody has a chance, and like I said, the world is upside down for me right now it's not far fetched. it could happen.

Paul is currently training for his upcoming boxing bout with the legendary Mike Tyson on 20th July. While many fans have labeled this fight as an easy cash grab, Paul and Tyson are very serious about it. Moreover, Paul said he would start MMA training after this boxing bout.

On the other hand, both Masvidal and Diaz are busy promoting and training for their upcoming boxing bout on June 1st. Both fighters are hyped for their rematch since the first time they met inside the octagon at UFC 244. However, irrespective of Paul’s interest, both Diaz and Masvidal have already rejected the PFL fight offer.

Nate Diaz dismisses the idea of fighting Jake Paul in the PFL

Nate Diaz fought Jake Paul in a boxing bout last year and suffered a decision loss. After that, the UFC veteran called out for a rematch but Paul wasn’t interested. The pair had a lot of back and forth on social media but nothing developed further.

However, now with the MMA offer, the Stockton native isn’t that impressed with PFL at all. Here’s what the fighter said;

No PFL. PFL is selling two tickets and get two free. That's what Dana said. Not on PFL ever.

Despite his retirement from UFC, Diaz still has a close connection with Dana White. This might be one of the reasons why the fighter is hesitant to do any business with PFL. Similarly, Masvidal also claimed that he didn’t want to collaborate with Paul due to his past problems with White. Nevertheless, fans would be intrigued to see a MMA fight given it will be Paul’s first ever octagon fight.

In case you missed it!
