Roman Reigns has reached a point in his career where, even if he’s on a hiatus, people are going to tittle-tattle about him regardless. And it must be said, there’s something about AEW EVP Kenny Omega‘s reverence for The Tribal Chief. The Belt Collector, during his Twitch stream, outright stated that he’s not going to buy any slander against Reigns.

Omega said Roman is incredible and not boring. Moreover, the AEW figure went on to say that he’s quite jealous of the way the Samoan has been presented. The Winnipeg-born wrestler drew similarities between Reigns’ recently concluded run and that of his heyday in NJPW. That’s not the first time The Elite member has complimented The Bloodline supremo.

Recently, Kenny lauded the 38-year-old WWE Superstar for the record-breaking title reign he’s had. The Cleaner said that Reigns has done his job immaculately. Moreover, the AEW exec thought it took Roman a lot of intestinal fortitude to overcome all the flak he has received over his previous incarnations. Omega affirmed that if it weren’t for The Tribal Chief’s stature as the champion, there wouldn’t have been such an emotional curtain drawing to WrestleMania XL.

I’m not gonna accept any Roman Reigns slander in this chat, I really think he’s incredible. I don’t think he’s boring, I actually would say I’m pretty jealous because Roman Reigns is presented the exact same way I would love to be presented.

While The Destiny Flower is advertised for a one-off appearance on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Roman Reigns is on his post-Mania vacation. A leaked picture of The Head of the Table recently made the rounds on the internet, where Reigns was spotted at Disney World. He’s not advertised for any WWE show until the last SmackDown before SummerSlam in Cleveland. That could change in the future, but his return is not imminent at this point.

Roman Reigns backed off from this year’s WWE Draft

This Friday on SmackDown, WWE capped off an underwhelming night of the Draft. To kick things off, Paul Heyman revealed that his client Roman Reigns had voluntarily withdrawn his name from the pool of Superstars who’re eligible to be drafted.

Meanwhile, Heyman, along with Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga, were picked by the blue brand in the third round. A few days ago, WrestleVotes reported that despite being off TV indefinitely, Roman will have substantial creative input in the evolving state of The Bloodline.

As things stand, Sikoa and Tonga are set to take on Kevin Owens and Randy Orton at Backlash next weekend. Moreover, there are rumblings of former MLW Champion Jacob Fatu making his WWE debut sooner rather than later. Who knows if he ends up assisting The Bloodline next Saturday in France?
