Krafton asks TSM FTX BGMI Lineup to remove ‘FTX’ from their name

TSM FTX is one of the world’s leading eSports organization who have acquired rosters in BGMI, Free Fire as well COD Mobile. As per some sources, Krafton has asked TSM FTX BGMI Lineup to remove the word FTX from their names in the upcoming tournaments of Battlegrounds Mobile India.
TSM had partnered with Entity Gaming, an organization based in India for their PUBG Mobile roster. The star-studded team won various tournaments and achieved a remarkable feat in the game. However, due to some unknown reasons TSM parted ways with Entity Gaming. It was believed that TSM might not acquire a BGMI roster, however, the speculations came to rest when they announced a new roster for Battlegrounds Mobile India.
TSM FTX BGMI Lineup to remove ‘FTX’

As per the sources of Controversial Gamez, it has been confirmed by a member of TSM FTX that Krafton has asked them to remove the word FTX from their in-game name in the ongoing as well as upcoming tournaments for the game. There were speculations among the players that Krafton, following the steps of Garena Free Fire and Riot might ask TSM FTX BGMI line up to remove the word FTX and this has been proved true.

TSM which was earlier known as TSM Entity signed star players Jonathan, ZGOD and ClutchGod for their PUBG Mobile roster. This roster is now acquired by GodLike eSports recently. TSM, after bidding farewell to their former roster, TSM acquired the following players for BGMI:

- Robin
- Ninja
- Blaze
- Aquanox
TSM or Team Solomid is an organization based in Los Angeles which signed a 10 year deal naming rights deal with FTX for 210 million. FTX which stands for Futures Exchange is a trading limited that deals with cryptocurency. Both these organizations had signed the deal as gaming as well as cryptocurrency’s popularity skyrocketed over the recent years.
However, looking at the current scenario it looks like TSM might have to cut off their ties with FTX as most of the game developers including Riot, Garena Free Fire has asked TSM FTX to abstain from the word ‘FTX’. The rule book of Garena Free Fire had already mentioned that they prohibit the sponsors who promotes cryptocurrency.
TSM FTX’S COD Mobile roster were recently disqualified from COD Mobile World Championship 2021 North America. The reason for this disqualification was not announced, however, one of the reasons could be the sponsorship of FTX cryptocurrency. The move taken by Krafton seems necessary as they wish to avoid any controversy during the official tournaments of Battlegrounds Mobile India.
