Kyle Shanahan is reaching his limits with Brandon Aiyuk and confidently announced they will be ready to face the Jets without him.

Brandon Aiyuk was scheduled to practice with the San Francisco 49ers, but the star wide receiver did not show up as he continues to hold out alongside offensive tackle Trent Williams. Head coach Kyle Shanahan is a patient man, but the week 1 game against the New York Jets is just 9 days away.
At some point in time, either the 49ers have to cave into Aiyuk’s demands or they need to cut him loose. Shanahan previously said he would prefer they did not have to reach that far and get the deal done sooner, but even after the 53-man roster was announced, Aiyuk stayed away from practice.
If it continues, then Shanahan claimed the 49ers have enough in their ranks to cope without the All-Pro wideout.
We're getting close to playing a game. So, like, my mind is completely on preparing for a game without those guys. I feel when two sides want to get the deal done, usually it happens.Kyle Shanahan said on Wednesday.

He says he feels “optimistic” about Trent Williams return but since he doesn’t know what day exactly they will sign he must prepare to be without them.

Aiyuk’s demand of more than $33 million keeps dragging the contract talks. After CeeDee Lamb’s extension, he will more than likely want close to that number or maybe more.
Shanahan, on the other hand, hasn’t had the opportunity to speak directly with Trent Williams. The situation has become a lot like they faced with pass rusher Nick Bosa.
There wasn’t a day that we would put on the calendar that would be our last day. You hope it’s every day that’s already passed, so each day makes it harder and harder, but you don’t really make that decision until you see someone, talk to him.
Shanahan said, as per the 49erswebzone.
John Lynch took a cheeky dig at Brandon Aiyuk for not showing up for practice
General manager John Lynch is handling the contract talks with Brandon Aiyuk, and occasionally he drops hints about being close to resolving the situation, but the 26-year-old remains without one.
On Wednesday after practice, Lynch made sure to make a backhanded comment about Aiyuk by praising other players who recently signed or will sign contracts without missing any training time.
There’s been a lot of talk about this training camp—who we don’t have here, we will take care of that business, but I am focused on what we do have here. Deebo [Samuel], and I see these guys work every day, and I know what’s about to go down this season. These guys have put in the work; they have committed. It’s about stack days, but it’s about the type of days that you stack. Kyle leads these guys along with our coaching staff in a great way, and they are gonna be prepared for the Jets.John Lynch said.

Even if Aiyuk doesn’t join the 49ers roster, they have ample backups. Deebo Samuel, Jauan Jennings, Ricky Pears, Ronnie Bell, Chris Conley, and Jacob Cowing make for a solid wide receiver room.
