The Dallas Mavericks’ star man, Kyrie Irving, continues to make headlines despite enjoying the offseason. Irving always goes viral with his off-court activities that capture a lot of attention from the NBA community. As such, Irving recently went viral for a question involving ‘celebrity hall pass.’

In a viral video, a random fan questioned Irving about which celebrity he would use his ‘hall pass’ on. ‘Hall Pass’ is a pop-culture term that refers to a permit that enables individuals in relationships to be disloyal. Irving cleverly declined to answer the question by prioritizing his wife, Marlene Wilkerson, and his kids.

Oh nah. I love my wife, Marlene Wilkerson… Shout out to my wife and my kids.

Irving was truly baffled regarding what a “hall pass” meant and requested clarification before giving his smart answer. The superstar has completely rejuvenated his career since moving to Dallas. All the COVID-19 vaccine drama no longer follows Irving around. As such, he has remained impactful for the Mavericks, leading them to the NBA finals.

On the contrary, Irving seems to be enjoying his off-season lately after a disheartening end to the 2023-24 NBA season. Irving and his side, the Mavs, fell short of winning the 2024 NBA title and were defeated by the Boston Celtics. However, Irving will aim for his side to start the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season with the same confidence as the previous season.

Kyrie Irving seems to have his future plans in place with his family

NBA veteran Kyrie Irving is one of the best players in the league, and many players look up to him. Interestingly, Irving is nearing the end stage of his basketball career and has been highly vocal regarding his love for his family members.

Notably, he also seems to have his future plans in place after retiring from the NBA. It involves getting involved in the family business as per his agent and stepmom Shetellia Riley Irving. She revealed that the Dallas Mavericks star would one day become an agent to help upcoming players.

Once [Kyrie’s] done, the goal would be to pass it on to him, I can retire, his dad can retire and we can run around and act like we’re 20-something years old. That’s the goal…because I think at some point [Kyrie] would have enough experience to really, really be an agent of change for players coming into the industry.

It’s interesting to note that the “family business” that Irving’s agent and stepmom are talking about is a sports firm known as A11Even Sports. Also, Riley Irving is the firm’s CEO and wants the NBA star to take over as soon as he retires from the sport. It remains to be seen how this story unfolds in the upcoming years.
