Just hours before taking on Seth Rollins at Saturday Night’s Main Event, LA Knight got a preview of what he could expect while locking horns with ‘The Visionary’ in Atlanta. On SmackDown, Knight and Jimmy Uso emerged victorious against Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo after a shenanigans-heavy tag team showdown.
‘The Megastar’ was barking at Paul Heyman, who was standing far enough from Knight. But little did he know that Bron Breakker was measuring him from behind. Just as Knight turned around, he got laid out with a spear. Bronson Reed followed it up with his tsunami finishing maneuver to flatten the former US Champion and stand tall.
Rollins, the man to beat for Knight at SNME, was nowhere to be found. It seems like he didn’t want to mess things up for himself after what had happened with him in the last couple of weeks on Raw. In the said period, Knight outplayed the five-time world champion by a couple of sneak attacks.

This past Monday, Rollins overcame Penta in an emphatic showdown. After the match, as Rollins asked Heyman to call upon his henchmen, Knight slid inside the ring from behind and planted ‘The Architect’ with a BFT. In hindsight, Knight potentially jumping the gun on his approach of thwarting Rollins of late may cost him dearly at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
‘The Revolutionary’ might have devised a foolproof plan to combat the menace of ‘The Defiant One’ after suffering enough embarrassment at his hands. Their upcoming clash at SNME is quite pivotal to determine the balance of power on the red brand.
What is LA Knight’s trajectory heading into SummerSlam?
With SummerSlam within touching distance and LA Knight still not done with Seth Rollins & co., their saga may continue heading into the two-night PLE. Tonight’s SNME in Atlanta is expected to answer a lot of those burning questions. Knight vs. Rollins, at the bare minimum, will involve a ton of ringside interference courtesy of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

Who could possibly even up the odds for Knight in that case? The first name that comes to mind is CM Punk. He’s a longtime belligerent of Rollins and even lost to John Cena at Night of Champions solely due to ‘The Visionary’s’ run-in. Punk confronted Knight a few weeks ago and asked ‘The Megastar’ to let him handle Rollins first. Knight didn’t pay any heed to the Chicagoan’s warning to him.
He said that Punk could have ‘The Visionary’ any day of the week after he takes him down at Saturday Night’s Main Event. If Punk does arrive to Knight’s aid tonight, they’d still be outnumbered unless someone else backs them up. And, in what could very well be the scene, Roman Reigns might make his presence known. His return is on the horizon, and he’s set to avenge his beatdown from Raw after WrestleMania 41.
How does LA Knight feel about the WWE locker room’s perception of him?
LA Knight has been a staple of WWE programming for the past couple of years or more. He might not have done something extraordinary in the meantime, but his fan base has only grown manifold. Despite his huge popularity among the WWE Universe, the company hasn’t strapped a rocket to his back, which continues to baffle many.

Does Knight feel that he’s been overlooked and underestimated by his peers? ‘The Megastar’ answered it on Raw Recap, saying it’s not completely true. But he did mention that his actions have certainly instilled a sense of fear in the locker room that if anyone in there doesn’t step up like Knight did, they’d be politicked out of their spots.
The Maryland native also claimed that his potential hasn’t been harnessed in its entirety. Taking those words into consideration, one might feel that he needs to beat Seth Rollins at Saturday Night’s Main Event to get momentum back on his side.
