There is no stopping LeBron James at the moment. The king put on another show for the home fans after he led the Los Angeles Lakers to an impressive 101-94 victory over the Houston Rockets in game two at the Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night. The win gave the Lakers a 2-0 lead.
NBA analyst Nick Wright is a die-hard James fan. The Fox Sports analyst took to social media to heap praise on James after a dominant game two performance.
Checking in on the NBA’s old timers… Durant’s flirting with 10 turnovers in his first playoff game as a Rocket. Steph’s at Coachella. Kawhi’s planting trees. LeBron is averaging 39 MPG & 24-8-10 to go up 2-0 without his team’s 2 leading scorers. GOAT.

🐐🐐🐐
There is no doubt which side Nick Wright is on in the GOAT debate. The label of “GOAT” has long been a point of discussion among LeBron James and Michael Jordan fans. While it is subjective, the two icons have undoubtedly separated themselves from the rest of the pack and cemented themselves into the history books.
However, if there is any advantage for James in the debate, it is that he continues to dominate the game in his 23rd season. As he remains active, he solidifies his case further, and the game two win on Tuesday only adds to his case.
Wright, who has been involved in a spat with the Ball family in recent days, made a comparison between James and other old-timers in the league like Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Kawhi Leonard. The latter two failed to lead their teams to the playoffs, while Durant now finds himself 2-0 down against James.
No problems for LeBron James and the Lakers despite Kevin Durant’s return
With Luka Doncic more or less ruled out for the entire series and Austin Reaves on track to return later in the series, it has been LeBron James leading the way in games one and two with good support from his teammates.

In the absence of their two primary scorers, James has had to take up a role he has been accustomed to for the majority of his career. In the two games in this series, James has averaged 23.5 points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists. While he was more of a playmaker in game one, he was on full attack mode in game two. James had 14 free throw attempts, which shows how aggressive he was on Tuesday.
In game one, the Lakers were given a huge boost when Kevin Durant was ruled out due to a knee injury. But the two-time champion was cleared for game two, but struggled to find his rhythm. While Durant scored 23 points, he committed nine turnovers as he had no answers to the Lakers’ physical defense.
The Lakers have LeBron James’ historic trend on their side
LeBron James has started this series on a flying note and has shown that he still has what it takes to perform at the highest level at 41. The Lakers are in firm control of this series after protecting their home court.
In addition to that, the Lakers have history on their side, too. James has a very good record whenever he wins game one in a playoff series. He has gone 29-2 after winning game one. To add to the Rockets’ woes, he has never lost a series after winning the first two games. His record stands at 32-0.

It is remarkable that James continues to run the show at his age as he defies father time. He had strong support in game two from Marcus Smart, who scored 25 points and had five steals, and Luke Kennard added 23 points after an impressive game one performance. The Lakers will now be focused on getting a win on the road as the series moves to Houston.
