- LeBron James and Bronny James made history with the first father-son alley-oop in NBA playoff history during Game 3.
- Bronny scored his first postseason points, contributing five points in a crucial overtime win for the Lakers.
- The Lakers lead the series 3-0 and aim for a clean sweep in Game 4 against the Houston Rockets.
LeBron James and Bronny James continue to create history in the NBA, and this time it is in the playoffs. LeBron was at his very best in Game 3 as the Los Angeles Lakers took one step closer to the Western Conference Semifinals after a 112-108 overtime victory over the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center.
The Rockets were missing Kevin Durant once again as he missed his second game in this series. The win gave the Lakers a 3-0 lead heading into Game 4.
During the second quarter, LeBron and Bronny combined to create some playoff history. The elder James drove the ball up in transition and lobbed the ball to his son, who finished the alley-oop with a smooth reverse left-handed layup.

Each time LeBron James and Bronny James take to the court, they pull off something that cements them in the history books. The father-son duo shared the court for the first time ever in the playoffs in Game 1 of this series.
During the regular season as well, they became the first father-to-son assist in NBA history. The two combined once again in the playoffs. It was a huge moment in Bronny’s career as well, as he registered his first-ever postseason points on Friday. In a little over nine minutes of playing time, Bronny scored five points.
While Bronny is currently in his second season in the NBA, he has struggled for minutes this season. He was reduced to just two appearances in the five games against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the playoffs last year. This year, he has featured in all three games off the bench. The James duo will be looking to seal their place in the next round in Game 4 on Sunday night.

LeBron James on Bronny James getting postseason minutes
With Bronny James slowly winning the trust of head coach JJ Redick, his nine minutes on Friday were the most he has ever played in the postseason. He had a burst of six minutes in the second quarter, and he took full advantage of it as he scored all his five points then.

Speaking to the media, LeBron James spoke about
The amount of confidence that a young kid in our league can get from a postseason game, you would never get nervous from a regular season moment ever again when you play meaningful postseason games in postseason minutes and he’s done that and I think that’s just pretty cool for his career, for his confidence.
