LeBron James has spent 22 seasons in the league playing against some of the best players in the world. He has also had superstar teammates playing alongside him. Some have helped him build on his legacy, while others, such as Russell Westbrook, could not.

When the former league MVP was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, many pointed out that his style of play does not suit what James and then co-star Anthony Davis thrived upon.

The following season, it was pretty much the same ordeal until the franchise decided to fix its mistake and traded Westbrook away at the trade deadline. After his departure, it seemed as if the Lakers received a breath of fresh air.

From a play-in spot, LeBron James and his teammates stormed to the Western Conference Finals. After that season, Lakers fans kept targeting Russell Westbrook, and he kept his distance and was reportedly not happy with how his time was wasted.

Even though there was no outright mention of a beef, James and Westbrook’s relationship seemed distant. Most recently, the latter revealed that he had not been in contact with his former teammate for a while.

Now in the offseason, with time on his hands, the former Denver Nuggets star decided to take his wife, Nina, to watch the Los Angeles Sparks vs. the Las Vegas Aces. Before the game, Savannah James came up and embraced both of them.

The way Russell Westbrook was smiling and talking to Savannah James indicates there is no beef between him and her husband, LeBron James. After they embraced, the mother of three was seen smiling and conversing with Nina Westbrook.

This casual meeting would have the uninformed fan believe that the triple-double record holder is still good friends with his former Lakers teammate. Whatever their rapport is, it does not seem as if the 36-year-old has any ill feelings towards James.

They might not become teammates again as their playing styles do not mesh well. But a few years down the line, when both are retired, they might be meeting like this and talking about the old days when they were the most dominant players in the league.

The sophomore was the most popular player for the Sparks last season after being drafted 2nd overall. She was part of the golden generation of young athletes who were driving growth in the WNBA.

But her part in that drive stopped 13 months ago when she tore her ACL in a game. Since then, she has been rehabbing and finally made her season debut with those NBA celebrities watching.

Brink’s return did not coincide with a win as A’ja Wilson delivered a masterclass to lead her Aces to victory. However, the Stanford star had a couple of highlight-reel worthy moments, one of which was a three-pointer that drew loud cheers from the fans.

Then, late in the 3rd quarter, she displayed her ability to recover lost ground and blocked NaLyssa Smith from behind. The 23-year-old is on a minutes restriction as the Sparks want her to take her time getting accustomed to the physicality.
