LeBron James teammates reveal how Boston bus driver ‘PISSED him off’ to produce iconic Game 6 against Celtics

Lebron put up an iconic performance vs the Heat 2012

During the most recent episode of The OGs Show, which is hosted by Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem, Shane Battier, who has won two NBA championships, appeared as a guest. Over the course of the conversation, they discussed the legendary 45-15-5 game that LeBron James played against the Boston Celtics during the 2012 NBA Playoffs.

Due to some reason, the bus was delayed when it was time to take the Miami Heat squad to the arena. When Lebron and company reached the court, it was just 40 minutes before the game was supposed to start, said Udonis Haslem. Lebron’s reaction to this situation was, “Don’t worry about it.”

To give context, in those days, the teams didn’t have a lot of buses to take the players to the arena from the hotel, and only one bus would make round trips to get everyone to the court. The bus driver reportedly took the wrong route which caused the Miami Heat squad being delayed.

Reportedly, Lebron James got pissed at this incident, and it motivated him to play arguably the best game of his career. James put up 45 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists to keep the Heat alive in the series. The Heat then went on to win the series in game 7 and the NBA Championship with it.

Lebron becomes the oldest player to be named to the All-NBA Team

LeBron James turned 39 this year, yet despite that, he averaged 25.7 points, 8.3 assists, and 7.3 rebounds per game while shooting 54.0% from the field, his greatest accuracy in six seasons. He also made 41.0% of his 3-point shots, his highest season-long percentage.

This feat from James has enabled him to be named to the All-NBA Team for a record 20th time. Lebron is an all-time leader in this category with nobody closing in on him.

With this Lebron also became the oldest player to enter into the All-NBA Team. He is followed by Tim Duncan and Kareem Abdul Jabbar who made the All-NBA Team at 38 years of age.
