Aaron Rodgers and Leonard Floyd met during Week 1 of last season when Floyd played for the Buffalo Bills. Now with the San Francisco 49ers, Floyd revealed receiving online hate after Rodgers tore his Achilles.
During a recent segment on the Adam Schefter’s podcast, Floyd disclosed fans sending him death threats, first openly in the comments of Instagram posts and later sliding into his DM.
The fans just tripped, hoping the worst for me. I didn’t pay any mind to that. I’m using it as my motivation for this game. But they were talking crazy on social media, Instagram.Leonard Floyd said
The messages switched from verbally attacking him to his family members.
I hope you die,' 'I hope something happens to your family.' It was [just a whole] bunch of fans just inboxing. I was like, damn, I was just playing football. It was quite a few [threats] right after the game.Leonard Floyd added
The Jets fans were over the moon when Aaron Rodgers signed with the team until Floyd’s challenge ended his year after just four snaps into his debut NFL game for the Gang Green. He went through rehab and rejoined the squad in record time, and once more he will be the #1 quarterback in the 2024 season.

Leonard Floyd believes Aaron Rodgers is a legendary quarterback
A year later, the two players will once again face off against each other. This time, however, Floyd, instead of wearing the blue of the Bills, will don the red of the 49ers. The target will remain the same as last time—stopping Aaron Rodgers.
It’s easier said than done. Rodgers maybe 40, but he can still be deadly, and Floyd knows it from past experiences.
I’ve done played a lot of football. In Chicago, sometimes we’d have Aaron as a first game. My scouting report is he’s a legendary quarterback, and you have to come with your ‘A’ game because he’s the type where he’ll embarrass you.Leonard Floyd said
The veteran linebacker cautioned his fellow teammates that they should be prepared for anything. Rodgers was 0-4 against the 49ers while at the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs and 6-3 in the regular season. He won both of the Packers’ last two visits to the Levi’s Stadium in 2020 and 2021.
Floyd added that he would not give the multiple-time NFL MVP an inch on Monday night. Well, he has to be at his absolute best because, on Monday night games since 2014, Rodgers has recorded 23 TD passes, 3 INTs, a 113.6 passer rating, and a 10-0 record.
