LeSean McCoy feels Josh Allen, who hasn’t won any MVP award, is better than 2-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson
LeSean McCoy names Josh Allen as a better quarterback than Lamar Jackson ahead of SNF Ravens vs Bills game.

After a losing season in his first year, Josh Allen changed the Buffalo Bills into a dominating postseason contender by making the berth for five consecutive years in a row.
In a game where the results matter, Allen is still far off. Nevertheless, former Bills RB LeSean McCoy states that Allen is better than the two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
The NFL MVP odds have shifted in his favor after the Bills steamrolled the Jacksonville Jaguars with Allen registering a record four TD first half last week. Earlier, NFL Insider Stephen A Smith had rallied for the QB to be a part of MVP talks.
The 28-year-old faces one of his biggest challenges in Jackson—a person whom Allen called as an inspiration—as the Bills face Baltimore Ravens this week.
LeSean McCoy has always supported his former teammate, Josh Allen. In the latter’s first minicamp, McCoy had termed him ‘special’ and since tweeted in support of Allen. In the latest episode of “The Facility”, McCoy praised the quarterback’s ability to throw and run at higher rates. He also praised his ability to elevate the defense and the offense of the team despite not many stars in the roster.
McCoy argued that while Sean McDermott is an amazing coach, having a quality quarterback at his helm makes McDermott’s job easier—in fact everyone’s. Allen, despite having no MVPs to his name, has the better stats than Jackson. The Bills’ quarterback has more passing touchdowns (174) than Jackson has total touchdowns (158).
LeSean McCoy feels Baltimore Ravens defense is not what it used to be
McCoy stated that the Ravens defense doesn’t look the same as they used to. He clarified that they are looking good but not as strong as they used to be while he was playing.
The Baltimore defense has allowed the most passing yards in the league through three games (946). They are ranked 28th in yards allowed per attempt (7.5), and 19th in completion percentage allowed (66.6%).
It would be refreshing to see how Allen fares against this defense as he boasts one of the best passer ratings in the league. Similarly, it would also be entertaining to see what kind of defensive plays will Zach Orr try to contain Allen.
The key to Ravens’ success on “Sunday Night Football” will be their starting quarterback and their secondary Derrick Henry. Henry was key to the Ravens win over his ex-team Cowboys. Jackson, although second to Allen in McCoy’s eyes, is still a dangerous quarterback who can inflict serious damage. They also cannot afford to have another poor outing from their pass defense. Two of those factors will make this Week 4 matchup at M&T Bank Stadium a little more interesting.
