Lewis Hamilton and and Lionel Messi have made a long lasting impact on their respective sports and have gone onto achieve immense success. Having both made their way up from rags to riches, there is an unbelievably strong similarity between the two world class athletes. The FIFA final match that took place between Argentina and France was arguably one of the greatest world cup finals.

Lionel Messi had a chance to win the world cup in 2014 but unfortunately he and his team lost to Germany in the finals. However, the Maestro worked hard and made sure that the dream was alive. And then came the 2022 Qatar FIFA world cup which was the 35 year old player’s last world cup. Tensions and emotions were both high as a lot was at stake for Messi.

With Argentina competing against France. the stage was all set for the finale. Messi VS Mbappe, it was all about to be a dream come true for both the parties. The first half of the match was an absolutely dominant round against France where their competitors scored 2 goals against them. Tensions and emotions were high as this showdown had taken a dramatic turn. But that wasn’t the end.

France came to shine in the second half and scored 2 goals in a short span of time. The score later went on to become 3-3 where the game moved to penalties. A dramatic final meant that a mind bending penalty shootout was in store for the fans. Mbappe did everything he could for his team to win the world cup.

However his efforts weren’t replicated by the whole team as France failed to capitalise on the penalties with Argentina’s goalkeeper portraying a wonderful performance. Having scored the most in penalties, Argentina had won the 2022 Qatar World Cup which cemented Lionel Messi’s legacy as the greatest footballer of all time.

With Lewis Hamilton and Lionel Messi winning every single trophy in their respective sports, their statistics and skills are what make them arguably the G.O.A.T.S of F1 and Football respectively. It was a wonderful journey for both these athletes. With age slowly becoming a disadvantage, it seems like the baton for the next messiah has been passed on. Mbappe for Football and Verstappen for F1 if it all goes well.
